Empty Rooms

The show was over. Everybody had gone home. It was you, I, and the janitor,
wherever he was. I remember I was scared, but there wasn’t a much better way to feel alive, because for once in my life, I had the suspicion that I was.

You smiled and I smiled and I looked around for the janitor just to be safe.

And then we kissed.

And then we fell in love, and then we thought couldn’t stop falling, and then we did, and then we began to climb, and then I couldn’t see the stars, but you said you could, and I believed you.
